In this Himalayan kingdom of Nepal metal art has been dated back to the seventh century AD. It is believed that many metalworkers at this time were Buddhist monks working for their Vihara religious schools. Nepal's history of statue making has been strongly influenced by the Newars since very early times. Their splendid craftsmanship and the artistic caliber spread beyond Nepal's border, across the Himalayas to ancient Tibet, China and now to other parts of the world. Still this ancient craftsmanship has been continued by Newari families of Kathmandu valley. Bronze was initially used to make most statues but later brass, copper, silver and gold has replaced it in terms of popular use among artisans. Our metal statues are cast by master artisans in Nepal according to exact traditional specifications using the ancient lost wax process. In this statue section we have wide collection of best quality metal statues of brass, bronze, copper and gold plated statues of different god and goddess of both Hindu and Buddhist religion.
